First of all, before you ask the most reasonable question; why are they still married to these douche bags called men, let me mentioned that, that’s the exact question I kept pushing down the throats of these women I spoke to—and none of them could give me a tangible reason as to why any sane woman would endure the level of nonsense, violation, disrespect and humiliation that have become part of their lives. Beyond the recent John Paintsil and wife’s case, we’ve been witnesses to various shocking scandals involving Ghanaian footballers and their wives. How can anyone forget the infamous Afriyie Acquah and Amanda unending issues, Sulley Muntari and Menaye Donkor’s near marriage breakup, John Mensah and wife’s scandalous breakup, Emmanuel Duah and Lawrencie’s issues, and the Odartey Lamptey and wife’s shocking children DNA public judging. If you ever want to back up the adage “not all that glitters is gold” with a real life example, then just step into the backyard of the various Ghanaian footballers’ wives—most of them come off as happy and rich when from what we has gathered, they have become punching bags of their husbands and do not even get enough s*x in their marriages, because the men are chasing every thing wearing a skirt out there. After speaking to 5 current wives of Ghanaian footballers and an Ex of another, I’ve concluded that, marrying a Ghanaian footballer is perhaps as dangerous as having been married off to Joffrey Baratheon and being called the Queen of King’s Landing. It’s pathetic; what some of these women are going through is beyond humiliation and probably, they are hanging in there because of the financial gain, which sometimes do not even flow as most would expect. 1. Husbands Sleeping With Every Woman Out There: All the five footballers’ wives plus the one divorcee I spoke to shared a common denominator in their stories: that’s, the men they call their husbands have no respect for their marriages and proudly sleep with countless women, and even have children with some of these mistresses. One said; “my husband has children with 3 different women that I know of, some even say there is a 4th woman he has a child with but he keeps denying it. For the other 3 women, I know them and I know the children.”  Can you imagine being still married to a man that has gone out there behind you to have children with as much as three other women? What would glue any reasonable woman to this sort of despicable marriage? Another, the divorcee said, “my husband just was not sleeping with every woman and having children with them, he even had a child with my own best friend and I could not do anything about it.” She added; “the situation is so bad in most footballers’ marriages such that as I talk to you now, the wife of a certain Black Stars former captain has turned to alcoholism because of how pitiful her marriage has become.” Src: GhanaCelebrities.Com
