Delta and Invincible forces investigated BOST ‘dirty oil’-Samuel Gyamfi by Bernise(f) : 7:50 am

Convener of a group calling itself Coalition for Social Justice (CSJ), Mr. Sammy Gyamfi has disagreed with the findings of an 8-member committee tasked by the Minister of Energy, Boakye Agyarko to investigate the off-spec oil scandal at the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) Company Limited.

He disclosed that the findings appears as though the investigations were conducted my two vigilante groups of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)-Delta Forces and Invincible Forces.

“No state security agency can come out with such a shoddy investigative piece. It appears the investigations were done by the Delta Forces and Invincible Forces”, he revealed on Okay Fm.

Mr. Sammy Gyamfi believes the outcome of the investigations is a complete cover-up of the rot at BOST and therefore demands a thorough reinvestigation into the whole deal.

“From the look of things, we believe strongly that the committee failed to unravel the truth of the matter.”

However, for the investigations to be successful, he called on the president to task the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) to launch investigations into the matter to ascertain the facts of the situation.

It would be recalled that that five million litres of fuel product was declared off-spec after going through an in-house technical assessment and a laboratory test by the Tema Oil Refinery. It followed what BOST termed as “human error” which led to the contamination of the product which is said to have resulted in GH ¢7 million loss of revenue to the state.
