This follows the death of Hajia Ramatu Aliu Mahama, former Second Lady and wife of late former Vice President of Ghana (2001-2009) Alhaji Aliu Mahama with whom the renowned Nigerian businessman had a long standing friendship. The late former Second Lady passed on Thursday and in line with Islamic religion she was laid to rest Saturday after a state-sponsored funeral at the Black Star Square in Accra attended by Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia; former President John Agyekum Kufuor; the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo and the Second Lady, Samira Bawumia among top figures in Ghana. The Nigerian business mogul, Alhaji Indimi who couldn’t attend the funeral flew into Tamale from Nigeria on his private jet to mourn with the Aliu Mahama family. He was received by Member of Parliament for Yendi and son of Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Farouk Aliu Mahama at the airport. Mohammed Indimi OFR is a well-known Nigerian billionaire businessman and philanthropist. According to Forbes, Mohammed Indimi’s net worth is US$700 million since the 1990s.
