WCQ,NIGERIA VS GHANA; See The Poor State Of The Pitch Where The Game Is To Be Played by Daninya33(m) : 6:57 pm

Nigeria and Ghana will slot it out for one of the 5 available ticket for Africa in the forthcoming world cup to be played in Qatar later in November.

Look at the state of the pitch where the game is scheduled to be played in 16 days time.

Both Ghanaians and Nigerians will agree that the pitch is poor for a game of this magnitude to be played here.

I am a Nigerian and I love good football.

Why would CAF not allow Ghana change the venue of the game because I am aware they wrote to CAF but their request was not granted.

What do you have to say, football lovers?

Dz one na potato farm be this na...
Ghanaians make una no vex with me ooo. grin

I was expecting a standard stadia where both teams will play beautiful and sexy football.
Both teams won't enjoy playing here but las las both the Nigerian and Ghanaian player mostly started their career in worse pitches.

Op you should have indicated in your report that our independence day celebration was held in this stadium, reason for its poor nature. We wrote to CAF for change of venue after we learnt the stadium would host the independence day celebrations, but CAF refused

Sire,i read in an article that Ghana requested for a change of venue as I rightly indicated in my second to the last paragraph. I didn't even know that this same stadia hosted the Ghana national day independent celebration.

The M.K.O Abiola stadium that would host the second leg was recently renovated by Dangote groups of company.

Most stadiums in Africa are being used for crusades, shows, concerts, celebrations etc thereby making them lose shape. It keeps happening.

16 days ain't enough to fix this stadium before the crunch tie coming up on the 25th of March.

Its well.
Happy belated Independence Day Celebration to Ghana.

Reports has it that this stadium capacity is 15,000. The Nigerian Football Federation is demanding for 10,000 tickets for Nigerian fans grin

Mind games? Or they truly don't know the capacity of the stadium? Maybe they think it's like our usual 40,000 capacity Accra/Kumasi stadia? The Ghana FA should concentrate on the match at hand and mind their business

The Ghana FA is playing mind games
Can you confirm if the squad list for the double legged encounter will be made public?

Of course the squad list would be made public. We don't really have a "consistent team" as it is. But the earlier the team list is released the better for all of us. People should have sufficient time to critique our squad list so the team's mind can properly be tuned to the task ahead

He's yet to play for Ghana BUT he's ELIGIBLE to play for Ghana. Our coach Otto Addo is a scout manager so I'm sure he's working some magic on getting some of these guys to represent us

Fans will always criticise every team list.
Nigeria's coach has been severely criticised for including Ogenyi Onazi on standby as Nigerians consider him too old beside he plays in Division 2 in the Saudi Arabia league.
He has been criticised for including Watford's Etebo who has been out for over 6 month through Injury that he is not yet fully fit.

Exactly. Reason why the Ghana coach must announce the team list early enough, let people do their usual criticisms for about a week or so, then the noise will die down, then the players can fully concentrate on the task at hand

The Chelsea has been reported saying he would only consider playing for Ghana if She qualifies for the world cup.
Nigeria has tried convincing Crystal Palace ,Michael Olise.Dude has many options to choose from. The likes of Nigeria, Algeria, France and England.

If I were the coach, I will overlook such players.
