- Advertisement - Ghanaian gospel musician, Celestine Donkor has filed a lawsuit against the founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel, Reverend Kwaku Antwi popularly known as Rev. Obofour. The popular gospel musician has sued Rev. Obofour for copyright infringement. Obofour is believed to have used her song for promotion without permission from the singer or her management. SEE ALSO: Kofi Asamoah lauds Rev Obofour for being honest in his preachings about money BACKGROUNDPrior to the 31st watch night service held at Jubilee Park in Kumasi by the Anointed Palace Chapel, a huge campaign was launched to get people to attend the watch night service. At the forefront of this campaign were Ghanaian celebrities such as Auntie B, Kalybos, Wayoosi Oteele, and many others. They all shot promotional videos for the watch night service. It’s Wayoosi’s promotional advert which has Celestine Donkor’s song. SEE ALSO: Ken Agyapong blasts Fox News & critics of Mcbrown kissing her daughter as he defends her Celestine Donkor’s song was playing in the background as Wayoosi invited people to come and worship with him and Reverend Obofour at the Jubilee Park. In his explanation to Reverend Obofour after the lawsuit, Wayoosi explained the video was shot in his room where Celestine Donkor’s song was being played on TV. It was not as if he intentionally played the song in the video’s background. Obofour in his statement to the police asked why he was being sued and not Wayoosi, the church or even the TV station that played the advert.
