Common Mistakes in English Grammar (A Participatory Thread) by Tranquility(m) : 9:54 pm

Since English language is not our native dialect but a borrowed language, we are bound to make mistakes in our day-to-day sentence formations. Lecturers and proffesors make them too. What am i even saying, even the native English speakers do make mistakes. And that is why i created this thread, drop a bad grammar and tell us the correct meaning and the reason why it's so.
I will start right away.

Grammar #1;
DO NOT SAY: My names are Godspower Anthony Augustine
SAY: My name is Godspower Anthony Augustine
Reason: The number of words in your name doesn't make it plural it is still singular; a name of ONE person. Just like in a book title, you won't say "the titles of the book are Romeo and Juliet but instead you'd say "the title of the book is Romeo and Juliet" The several numbers of a name doesn't change it to a plural form.

Grammar #2
DO NOT SAY: Get my stuffs ready
SAY: Get my stuff ready (irrespective of the number)
Reason: The word 'stuff' does not take a plural form. No matter how many they are it remains a singular noun.
