I will be relocating to Ghana soon by planetE(m) : 9:22 am

Good morning great members of this forum. I'm a relatively young guy and I will be relocating to Ghana after the completion of my Bachelor's degree program.

I have heard about interesting and fascinating stuffs about Ghana. I'm a guy that desires peace and tranquility environment. I strongly believe that where there is peace, there will be safety and progress.

Ghana is one of the most peaceful country in the world and I will be relocating to this wonderful country.

I just want to know more about the life in Ghana, the cost and standard of living as well as the purchasing power of Ghanaian cedis.

Note : I already have a gainful online business, I'm not relocating to search for any job. Also, I may be investing in physical businesses

Is Ghana a good country for businessmen to grow their business ? Are the economic and political policies of Ghanaian Government favourable to the rapid growth of businesses.

Your response and comments will be appreciated

Thanks

You're welcome to Ghana. It's cool here. You can have STABILITY here and plan your life. There's political stability, there's peace, there's constant electricity, there's a thriving night life , there's a growing body of international students/people from different countries coming here etc etc

Compared to Nigeria, things are expensive here, especially in Accra. Nigeria is the biggest producer of oil in Africa, it also subsidizes it's oil, you're big producers of food, heavy importers of stuff so things are generally cheaper in Nigeria than Ghana

You can make more money in Nigeria than Ghana because of the large population, the different varieties of stuff available etc, but may have to grapple with insecurity, lack of electricity, traffic, stress etc. In the Ghanaian space you can make your money, do safe tourism to any destination of your choice, and generally enjoy your life and live long. Life expectancy is 64 in Ghana, 54 in Nigeria

Ghana's growing and becoming more cosmopolitan so there're lots of opportunities for business. On the cedi-naira strength the naira is slightly stronger than the cedi. Lots of people erroneously assume the cedi is stronger. Things are cheaper in Nigeria than Ghana, so when you take the cedi to Nigeria you can really ball.

It's good you have your own job. The retail space here is solely reserved for Ghanaians.

No I'm ok. O I see. The typical Ghanaian style we like to be modest. Even if I were fabulously rich, I'd still say I chock for one corner like that they watch you. It's just our style

Guy if you have the means, find your way to Botswana

Ghana has changed and is still changing, sliding slowly down the road to hell

With the population of our boys there doing trash , to me, Ghana is a no no. If not, it's a good country.

So, even when you get there, have your plan b(look for decent work or set up a business) and plan c(from there flee to Europe or Overseas), unless you want to go there to explore yahoo plus.

Ghana is sliding down the road to hell? How did you come by that? He should go to Botswana? Less than 3 million population Botswana? Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, South Africa, Rwanda, Algeria, Morocco are some of the few "happening" places on the continent, where there's growth, nightlife, business, purpose etc even with all the challenges any of these countries may be having

This site doesn't keep record of dates when an article was posted. Why? That PlanetE guy posted here that he wants to relocate to Ghana and on the another thread, he is already narrating his experience in Ghana. Without dates, when an article was posted, it will seem the two articles were posted same day, and that is misleading.
